The BEIC will deliver innovation-led regional growth in the integrated waste, energy and low carbon transport sectors. It will stimulate collaborative research and development projects to generate new jobs, drive productivity in the region and overcome local energy and low carbon transport challenges. The scheme supports the development and deployment of new technologies at a scale that can help decarbonise the grid and improve the environmental performance of the region. The BEIC is part of an Energy Innovation Zone and is situated on the Tyseley Energy Park.
